Precise And Useful
If one of your family members suffers from a heart condition, you must have heard about ECG, short for Electrocardiogram. Even if you don’t, then it’s a pretty common medical terminology. It’s a test designed to detect heart abnormalities. It checks multiple things by measuring your heart rate and rhythm, including whether your heart has enlarged due to high blood pressure.
Benefits Of an ECG
Performing an ECG test helps uncover the following conditions:
- Chest Pain
- Chest Fluttering
- Irregular Heart Beats
- Fast/Slow Heart Rate
- Shortness Of Breath
ECG Procedure:
At Onsite Medical Services, we’re greatly concerned about your safety. That’s why we follow a safe procedure to perform an ECG test. We don’t restrict our patients from eating and drinking as it’s not necessary to do that. However, we may ask you about the medications you’ve been consuming before conducting the test.
Results of ECG:
Once we’ve delivered the results, you can contact your doctor to discuss them. It could be on the same day you’ve done the test or during your next appointment. If the ECG is normal, you won’t need to perform any other tests. But if the tests detect abnormalities in your heart, we’ll have to perform additional tests.
